Camel Pro Billiards Series Update

The top professional poolplayers in the world continue to prove why they're considered just that, as the Riviera Pro 8-Ball Open moves into its second full day of action on the Diamond 9-foot tables.

Defending Riviera 8-Ball Champion Francisco "Django" Bustamante is off to another fast start, and last year's runner up, Johnny "The Scorpion" Archer, continues to push the brackets toward the right side of the winner's bracket.

Jeremy Jones, who currently ranks atop the Camel Pro leaderboard, caught a break with an 8-ball scratch on the hill against Paul Potier early Tuesday afternoon. Other top stars in action this afternoon include Roger "The Rocket" Griffis, Gerry "The Ghost" Watson and Dennis "Hatchetman" Hatch. Stay tuned for more updates throughout the tournament!

Camel Pro Billiard Series

As Camel prepares for this year's Camel Pro Billiards Series event, the Riviera Pro 8-Ball Open, pros began practicing Sunday morning for the main event. Among the many APA events, spectators are attendance anxious to see matches when they get underway Monday morning at 11:00 a.m.

The top 96 professional players will try to knock off defending champion Francisco Bustamante (a.k.a. "Django"), a 23-year veteran of the game. Last year's closest contenders were Johnny Archer in 2nd place, Jimmy Wetch taking 3rd and Mike Coltrain in 4th. Other pro players in contention for the title this year will include: Jeremy Jones, Dennis Hatch, Nick Varner, Efren Reyes, Tommy Kennedy and Buddy Hall, just to name a few.

This selected Camel Pro Billiards event has become the perfect opportunity to bring APA amateurs together for a chance to watch some of the best shooters who have ever played in the game. With so many new faces of the APA as first time attendees at the National Team Championships, those amateurs will get a chance to see their favorite pro players up close and personal.

Tickets for the event are $7 for daily general admission, $20 for daily VIP seating and $75 for full event VIP seating for the tournament. Spectators must be 21 years of age or older and need to show photo ID to attend.
