The final rounds of the Camel 8-Ball Ladies Division National Team Championships took place Monday evening, with one battle between Looney Tunes from Kenner, Louisiana vs. Sandy's Place from Jackson, Mississippi.

 As the crowd cheered and roared the Mississippians to a 3-1 victory, APA team members from Sandy's Place took home the $10,000 purse. "The matches were very stressful, but we had a great crowd of supporters to cheer us on—our husbands," said Team Captain Theresa Burgardt.

 She added, "Nothing can compare to the APA National Team Championships. We've been in the pits before in tournaments, I just can't believe we won!"

 Team members of the Looney Tunes were discouraged by their loss, but Team Captain Elise McCullough said they "had a blast at the tournament" and appreciated the comradeship of their competitors. Looney Tunes, which also placed second in the Team Shirt Contest, earned $5,000 for their performance.
