The APA/Camel National Team Championships, amateur pool's biggest and richest ball of fun and excitement, ascended to
unequaled heights July 30-Aug. 7 at the Riviera Hotel & Casino. More than 10,000 participants and spectators flocked to Las Vegas to partake in round-the-clock tournament action, festivities and a
variety of special events. When all was said and done, the APA and Camel paid out more than $750,000 in prize money; the 8-Ball Open
Division Championship returned to Oklahoma City; Canadians won their first APA National Championship; Sandy's Place added another trophy to its case; the APA crowned its first Scotch Doubles duo and the
