Molson, new 9-Ball League sponsor for the 1999/2000 APA league year!

They came, they saw, they got the job done. That's what the Yellowbellies, the APA 9-Ball National Champions from Edmonton, Alberta Canada did in Monday's final match versus Traverse Street.

They handled the pressure of the final match with ease, as Craig Nowell raced to a quick 38 points to secure the victory and a $15,000 payday. "There's always a lot of pressure in a competition like this, but with everything going on, we were too distracted by our surroundings to be nervous," said Team Captain Tim Duhamel.

The opposing Traverse Street squad returns home to Athol, Massachusetts with $10,000 and the pool experience of a lifetime. "The best part about being here is to compete against guys just like us," said Traverse Street Captain Gene Brunell. "We're just here to have fun—getting to the finals was an honor in itself."
