| The 8-Ball Open team “Most Wanted” may be out of the championships but they are still enjoying the tournament and Las Vegas. Impressively enough the team has only been together for one session and made it to the 2001 Finals! “Our team did fairly well, especially for our first time out here,” said Robert Roop, “coming out here was a lot of fun and we will definitely play hard to come out again next year.” “We’ve met a lot of people and had a lot of fun,” said Terry Foraker, “and we want to
come back next year, Vegas is a great place.” Most Wanted placed 129th in the tournament, but their spirits are definitely not down, they are happy they made it so far their first session together.
Members Challenge Pros Ming Ng, Nicole Mancini, Shannon “The Cannon” Daulton, and “Razor” Ray Shultz were available in the Camel VIP room for APA members to “Challenge a Pro.” From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. players were able to sign-up to challenge their favorite pro player.
Players could choose the pro they wanted to challenge in a game of 9-Ball. Challenging the female players was most popular; Ng definitely got her play time in this afternoon! The pros and participants had a great time around the table. Pros offered tips and suggestions to those they played. Everyone
had an enjoyable, relaxing time. Camel was instrumental in offering Pro Challenges, Dr. Cue exhibitions and pro interaction to APA members in their Camel VIP Lounge. |
