Camel 8-Ball Classic Pro-Am

On Monday evening Camel welcomed back the top 5 place finishers from the Camel 8-Ball Classis National Singles Championship held this past May. These amateurs teamed up with one of eight pro players, as well as another amateur selected from the audience, to form 3-Person teams competing for $2,000 - with the pro's playing on the amateurs' behalf.

In the 1st Round, Dawn Hopkin's team (Joe Wortham and Matt Zeman) defeated Allen Hopkin's team (Denise Weiss and Arnie Needleman) to advance to the 2nd round and a match against Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman's team (Pat Schumacher and Silas Flowers).  Rossman's team defeated Ming Ng's team (Jim Hoyle and Karen Reed) in the first round.

On the other side of the arena in the 1st round, Nicole Mancini's team (Stephen Miles and James Devine) defeated Shannon Daulton's team (Mike Koscielski and Shawn Hubbert) to advance to the semi-final round against APA Co-Founder Larry Hubbart's team (Todd Rowitz and Linda Garcher). Hubbart's team overcame Ray Schultz's team (Dennis Ford and Ken Bolyard Jr.) in the 1st round.

In semi-final action, it was D. Hopkin's team defeating Tom "Dr. Cue" Rossman's team to advance to the finals and a shot at $2,000.  Hubbart's team was again too much as they beat Mancini's team to advance.

The finals featured an intense matchup dominated by defensive plays by both teams. In the end, Hubbart's team was too much for D. Hopkins team, as both amateurs on Hubbart's team each took home $1,000.  The Runner's Up didn't go away empty handed however, as both amateur on D. Hopkins team each received $500.
