Camel Pro 8-Ball Championship

“The Magician” Efren Reyes used his entire bag of tricks to emerge as the 2000 Camel Pro 8-Ball Champion during the Camel Championships in Las Vegas.

“The Magician” earned a $30,000 paycheck for coming through the one-loss side of the bracket. He squared off against the red-hot and previously unbeaten young gun Mika Immonen in the final, and beat him with a convincing 7-5 victory before a boisterous crowd of pocket billiards fans.

Immonen earned a $15,000 chunk of the $150,000 tournament purse for his 2nd Place finish. APA player representative Roger “The Rocket” Griffis beat everyone he faced but Reyes and Immonen, and took home $10,000 for finishing 3rd. He and 4th Place finisher Troy Frank reached the final day of competition.
