2010 9-Ball Shootout
The finals of the 9-Ball Shootout were held May 1 with three new champions being crowned.
In the finals of the Green Tier (SL 1-3) Tina Johnson, of Fayetteville, NC, defeated Alyssa Popiela of San Diego.
In the finals of the White Tier (SL 4-5), Angel Palomarez of Tuscon, AZ, defeated Seth Prentiss of Newfield, N.J.
In the finals of the Black Tier (SL 6-9), Nelson Montierth of Longmont, CO, defeated Michael Crowley of Richmond, Va.
Each of the three champions took home a $10,000 prize package, while the Runners-up received a prize package worth $5,000.
This year 265 players competed in the 9-Ball Shootout from a field of more than 3,300 who competed in Regional competition. Thirty-seven states and 1 Canadian province were represented in this year's event.
