The 2009 APA National Singles Championships wrapped up Saturday, May 2 with the finals of both the 8-Ball Classic and
9-Ball Shootout.

When the day began, where hundreds of pool tables had stood, only eight remained. Shining trophies reminded the players still competing of how far they’d come, and what still lie ahead.

Hundreds of spectators surrounded the pit arena and watched as seven new APA champions battled their way to victory and were crowned National Champions. Poolplayers from across North America came to the Riviera Hotel and Casino Las Vegas to compete for more than $450,000 prize money.
