Welcome to the 2006 National Singles Championships

President's Message

It takes great focus and determination to make it all the way to Las Vegas, so take pride in what you have already accomplished. What lies ahead is some of the most intense amateur competition you’ve likely ever encountered. If you are up to the challenge, you just might return home a National Champion! Our goal over the next few days is to make your experience a memorable one. In addition to the National Championships, we have plenty to keep you busy. In conjunction with our 8-Ball Classic and 9-Ball Shootout Championships, we are also hosting our Jack & Jill Doubles 8-Ball Championship this week, and we offer nearly round-the-clock MiniMania tournaments open to all APA members! You’ll likely see some famous faces from the pool world here at the Riviera as well. Trickshot Artist, Tom “Dr. Cue” Rossman, and APA’s SuperTeam player and No.1-ranked WPBA superstar, Allison Fisher, will be here this week signing autographs and conducting exhibitions. You won’t want to miss our annual POOLAPALOOZA celebration Saturday night poolside at the Riv—it promises lots of fun and excitement to cap-off this week’s pool competition! On behalf of the entire APA staff, our sponsors and our League Operators, we hope you enjoy the competition, the camaraderie, and the fun of our sport—good luck and good shooting!

Best regards,

Reneé Poehlman
President
