APA 8-Ball Classic

The finals of the 8-Ball Classic were held Saturday afternoon with three new champions being crowned.

In the finals of the Blue Tier (SL 2-3), Ron Schippert of Las Vegas, defeated Frank Titus-Rogan of Springfield, Va., 3-2.

In the finals of the Yellow Tier (SL 4-5), Armando Leal of San Antonio, Texas, defeated Brian Holgate of Canby, Oregon, 4-0.

In the finals of the Purple Tier (SL 6-7), Robert Hall of Huntsville, Ala., defeated William B.J. Hastings of Pasadena, Md., 5-1.

Each of the three champions took home a $15,000 prize package, while the Runners-up received a prize package worth $9,000. More than 350 players from across North America competed in the 2006 8-Ball Classic.
