Find Your Team – Online

Many teams and players put together Web sites to promote their team and the fun they have in APA weekly League play, but what if you are looking for a team? Rhode Island APA member Patrick Bonanno developed a site to help teams find players, and players find teams. After playing three sessions in the APA, Bonanno noticed that his team was in search of players at times and he ran into players on League night looking for teams; he wanted to develop a service that could put the two together. He developed www.RunTheRack.com as the medium to solve this problem.

“It’s an open, free forum. Anyone looking for a new team or a team looking for new players can go to this site and find someone in their area. It’s easy to use and maneuver through; interested players need to register, but other than that they have the freedom to find teams, players or discuss pool topics.”
Bonanno has been a League member and owner of a Web site developing and hosting company for many years. “I enjoy the sport to death and I wanted to give something back to the APA for making such a great organization available to poolplayers.” Bonanno continued to say his idea is just getting off the ground, and while there are not many posts on the site yet, he hopes to create forums for all states that have APA Leagues.
